Academic Policies
The Undergraduate Catalog is published annually by the Office of the Registrar. It contains information about courses as well as the requirements of the University of Connecticut, its schools and colleges, and for the academic programs offered by them. Students who enroll for this Catalog year must complete the graduation requirements specified in this document.
The University Senate is a legislative body responsible for establishing minimum rules and general regulations of the educational program and mission of the institution, excluding the University of Connecticut Health Center, that are not reserved to the Board of Trustees, to the administration, to the Graduate Faculty Council, or to the several faculties.

Taking Time Away from UConn
The Dean of Students Office works closely with students who are seeking to take time away from UConn or to return to UConn after a gap in enrollment.
The Office of the Registrar supports the instructional and student progress endeavors of the University by providing quality services to students, faculty, academic and administrative departments, and the public. The Registrar's webpage includes a plethora of information on academic policies, including but not limited to: course record management, final exam scheduling, publication of the University's Undergraduate and Graduate Catalogs, academic record creation and maintenance, student registration, grade processing, transcript issuance, degree auditing for graduation, and monitoring of academic and administrative policies.
The University's academic calendar, maintained by the Office of the Registrar, includes all critical academic dates and deadlines.
